Most dog training plans include dog obedience training. This professional obedience training includes leash training, training your dog to stay, training your dog to sit, and teaching your dog to love coming when it's called.

Our behavior specialist will gladly meet with you at your home to discuss your dog's training needs. She will then give you home work so that you can provide your dog with the training that it needs. She will return at weekly, or biweekly intervals to evaluate your progress, and give you further instruction. To request an initial consult with us, please send an e-mail to: information@silverliningdogtrain.com. In your e-mail, please indicate what you are interested in learning to do with your dog.
Our
Day Training service begins with an initial consultation to determine your
dog's training needs. The behavior specialist will train your
dog on agreed upon days of the week for a specified number of
weeks. Each afternoon, the behavior specialist will leave notes
about your dog's day, and about what you can do to reinforce what the dog
learned during the day. You will then meet with the behavior
specialist on a weekly basis to discuss what obedience training you can
provide in the evenings, and on your days off, to strengthen what your dog has
learned during the week. Our professional obedience training can be
extended so that once the dog has it's initial training, the behavior
specialist will take the dog out in public to practice what it has learned
on local trails, in local parks, in neighborhoods, in pet stores, etc; by
itself, or with other dogs that are at the same level of
training. After the behavior specialist has completed the
agreed upon training, she will meet with you for follow-up
consultations.
Although it is easier for us to evaluate a dog's behavior when we are with the dog, this option may be right for you if you have a simple question, if you want to sample our training methods without committing to a full-on training program, or if you live outside of our service area. This option involves you consulting with us over a Skype connection. Our dog behavior specialist will do her best to observe your interactions with your dog as seen by your web cam. She will also demonstrate techniques, over her own web cam, with her own dog.

to Day Training, Sit 'N' Train starts out with an initial consultation to
determine what the best training protocol is for your dog while you are
away. Your dog will have multiple professional obedience training
sessions with our behavior specialist each day that you are away. In
addition, Silver Lining Pet Services will provide pet and home sitting services
for you during that time (For a list of pet sitting services, see the Silver Lining
Pet Sitting page). When you return, our behavior specialist will again
meet with you to help you decide what you need to do to enhance the learning
that your dog has obtained in your absence. For dogs who need training
beyond what can be accomplished during the time you are away, this service can
be combined with our Day Training service upon your return.
